It's sad that such a beautiful thing such as Vodou has been ruined by the Movie Industry and white people because they fear and don't understand it. They see the movies that exploit this religion and think it's all pins and dolls and hexing when most Vodou Priest/Priestess wouldn't touch anything like that simply because they realize there is some form of karma (for lack of better way of saying it) attached to doing harmful magick. This is what the Vodou Priests and Priests do they heal and bless others by calling upon the Loa to aid them and help others. I wish some day I would be fortunate to meet these people. I have to admit I am learning their ways and find it fascinating.
