The fact that one of his employees (not wearing a life preserver or safety helmet) was on the boat as it was being uncontrollably dragged across jagged rocks and into "rough waters" leads me to believe that the owner of this salvage company is it exactly a rocket scientist.

That's common sense that you can move a boat easily, even if it's hard to see, it had to be done!

I noted in the original footage that the tug was nowhere in sight but there was drifting black smoke that inferred some big diesels being pushed to full noise so that indicated a quite long towline which inferred shallow water and/or submerged rocks. Those other boats sitting off were likely just shallow draft, to help if needed to pick up like debris or for safety, or to help with comms. Plus the footage is spliced clips, not contiguous. Anyone who has lived on a rocky coastline exposed to the seas knows what happens to boats of any size that are aground on rocks and regularly hammered by bad weather. A month on rocks in that position means the boat is a likely write-off. There was obviously a lot of preparation work done, those huge long black sausages are new to me but make sense to lift the boat over the rocks. It must have been dodgy working around that boat with with 2m or more swells coming in which could push the boat or throw a man down hard but needs must. I think Husky Towing and Salvage did a very professional, effective job!

As much as I cringed watching that short footage, it was also as obvious that was nothing but a beach cleanup job, salvage of anything worth saving had long past it's expiration date. Maybe a few items on the hardtop would be serviceable but after the lengthy exposure and conditions the wreck endured, a landfill is it's only future. I do have to comment that it was completely irresponsible on the part of the salvage company to leave a soul onboard during that ugly removal. That alone would forever taint their reputation in my opinion.
