I have asked/posted that question on numerous videos ..... always without getting an answer. I have also asked if he has ever taken out/removed the carpet from a vehicle to clean the carpet, remove to clean or replace the padding under the carpet, and clean and sanitize the floor pan. This vehicle qualified for those extra steps. Also, with the habitation and toileting of the mice, the vehicle needed more than the cabin air filter being changed out (actually, should be done with any of those especially dirty, dusty, filthy cars, otherwise if not done, the first time the air is turned on, they driver will be blowing dust into the car .... who needs that after paying big bucks to get your car cleaned). The venting running under the floor and through the door panels need to be clean and sanitized as well. I had to have my car interior detailed (the detailer actually said, "Ma'am, this is a restoration job." I had a glass jug of root beer break which flooded the floor of my car ..... just the one side because of the hump, but still. (1999 Honda CRV) So, while he was at he did the entirety of the floor, removing the carpet to clean it, replaced the padding, cleaned and put a sealer on the floor pan (not that it was rusting, but was part of the package), and he cleaned the floor venting because the root beer had run down in the air vent. When he got done, the interior looked better than when I bought the car.
@emilasmith42792 жыл бұрын
Amazing job! Do you do anything special to clear the stinch from the air vents? I saw someone online spray lysol spray down in them. Won’t do that in my car. Just figured this one’s vents stank to high heaven. I think you should start a new side gig and replace carpet in cars. Seems like that would be easier than scrubbing stuff like this one!

I was wondering about that carpet. Since it was in such bad condition, do you know how much trouble it would be to replace it? After you have all the seats and trim removed, how much more work would it be to rip it out and replace it with new? Provided you could get either new or at least used in much better condition, possibly from a wrecked or salvage vehicle of the same model. Seems like that would be something the new owner would want to do, if it's possible.

I really am curious: Don't you sometimes fear about your health? It is not only the dust, debris, feces, etc...but also needles/sharps. Those would make me nervous!

Mitch....if you don't charge at least 5K to literally restore these abused vehicles...you need to rewatch your videos. Thre amount of physical labor you put into these cars is insane. You are amazing...I hope your business keeps growing...❤

My question and curiosity is, “how many brushes and scrubbing pads do you go through and how often?”

Aw man, seeing the before and after shots of the trim pieces as you steam them felt so good. I don't know why you stopped doing it, but would be nice to see again

For future reference, there is a fresh air filter behind the glove compartment, most can be rinsed and dried. Mice really like those.

When you get a car in this condition do you use a disinfectant and deodorizer? Or do your products already include these ingredients? This was amazing to watch.

in some videos with smoker cars, or cars that have rat feces he usually puts in an ozone machine and lets the ac re circulate inside the car to remove the odors as much as possible. For this one... I think the owner really needs just to change the ac filter lol.

Think about getting yourself a torch too. If you lightly, torch the scratches in the plastic, it helps flatten them, and brings a sheen back to the plastic as well. Of course you have to be a little light handed and careful, but it helps
