Could it be said that this sculpture along with the Dead Marshes sculpture are the best that Weta has made so far? I know that he made many good sculptures, but these two, along with the Babol one, are really surprising. Congratulations on the purchase.

Sad that it was sold out. I am just happy that there is a 3D scan avaiable and you are able to print it out yourself. if anyone fancys Shiratech with 20% tenacious shirayatech resin gives extremely crips details and makes it unbrekable, for the glow effect a simple led array with a soft defuser in the base. Total Print cost is at around 140$ and takes a week to print out depending on print size. wish you could buy it from the shop. But all wetaworkshop 3D scans that where sold out are thank good absolutly god tier scans.

That's a hell of a good Frodo!!!.. maybe the best likeness I have seen to date. I think a small drop of nuln along his closed eyelid would help ...but man that's really good and rare to see a captured figure of Frodo accurate from all angles. Both him and Aragorn seem impossible to get right. Wow, when you added the extra curled up feathers!!.. awesome. I wouldn't even consider the "Seam" to be an issue what so ever, it's perfect.. the feathers rock, the base and lava rock when lit look A M A Z I N G. That there good sir, is a grail!. Ohh yeah I almost forgot... I hate you right now :)

Yeah it's pretty incredible to get a sculpt likeness that's accurate at such a small scale but you're right they did an amazing job, especially with Frodo. Agree with the seam, it's there but you have to look for it, otherwise you never see it. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I love you right now 😆

You got it! This is the one singular piece that I dream of stewarding one day. It is so unbelievably amazing. To be fair, I actually did the numbering, weta only did the color coding of the wings, they were sort of lacking for the feathers

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..I am so envious of this piece. My favourite bird of prey, one of my favourite scenes in the movie and has part of Mt Doom in it. Dang I missed out on this magnificent masterpiece. Goosebumps all over my body watching this buddy. Just awesome, and makes me want to come visit you to see it in person. I was on edge of my seat watching this screaming wanting this statue. 🤣🤣🤣. Hey, I'm actually gonna keep my helm and get the new one when it comes out, you may want to too... im thinking this helm we got may be worth $ in the future since it was a mistake, the helm was never supposed to be shipped and sold like that, so there can't be too many out there, thus = rare. I know star wars made a blunder similar to this case, where they shipped a kenner action figure and there was a mistake on the figure, they recalled it back in the 80's, and now it's worth a lot! Just a thought! 😉

Ryan, seriously, this is the best review ive ever seen for a statue, or anything else for the matter. I honestly had a tear in my eye for how beautifully this was done. Wow thank you man, that really means a lot to me. I always try to take what I learn from every video and apply it to the next so after a 100+ videos I think I've figured out a style that works good for what I know how to do. These video do take a while to make, sometimes multiple hours just to get a single minute correct and how I want it. Many takes to say correctly the lines of dialogue I want without stumbling over words, I've thought about maybe sometime making a "how I make videos" video as there are a lot of steps to get things just how I want them. Unfortunately the process being long does mean I keep getting behind in the many videos I have planned and want to do, but it all seems to feel worth it once I hit the upload button. Magnificent statue. I had doubts because it looked like less intricate and detailed than other Weta pieces, but I have to say, there are less elements but all of them are great. The Eagle is incredible. Amazing piece and outstanding video & review as usual.

Did you see the new video out with Kit Rae on the "lord of the collections" channel? He talks about all things lotr! And the he talks about the "issues" with the high elven helm... apparently it was an accident, they weren't finished with those helms, and some how, someone put them in the wrong department/location, and they shipped them from the factory. Did budk sort things out with you?

I've actually got quite a number of things lined up, unfortunately I got delayed from my move but slowly getting back into the swing of things. So many things still sitting in boxes await time for me to do a video: Saruman on Throne, Classic Series Frodo, Classic Series Lurtz, Miniature Treebeard, Miniature Balrog, Miniature Fellbeast, Classic Series Fountain Guard, Fountain Guard of the White Tree, UC Uruk-Hai sword, UC Gondorian Helmet, UC Elven Strider Knife, 1/6 Labyrinth Ludo, 1/6 Labyrinth Hoggle, 1/6 Labyrinth Sir Diddymus, 1/6 Gil Galad and I'm sure some others I'm forgetting. Not to mention I've been working on a 15 foot diorama I've been building of the Shire using all the Weta Hobbit Holes. Lots coming!

I have this statue in storage but I am working on a custom displaycase. To fill the area below the wings, do you think getting Weta Mini statues? Or you think better to dusplay 1/6 scale Weta Statues..
