I'm not a trumpet player, but was it really necessary to blat like that, this is a beautiful piece, it was a warm up piece at my school last year and we loved it. I really like everything, but those trumpets and the temp is very inconsisten

I agree with you -- i want a somewhat consistent tempo. I'm fine with big field-show blast volumes, but the stop-&-start tempo bugged me.

I feel it's in marching band style. The tempo and the blats in line with that kinda of re-vamping.
