SALVE REGINA - Cory Aquino funeral 2009

The Marian hymn "Salve Regina" (Hail Holy Queen) was sung after then-Balanga Bishop Soc Villegas gave his benediction during the burial rites for the late Philippine President Corazon "Cory" Aquino on 5 August 2009 at the Manila Memorial Park, Parañaque City. While it was sung all of the Aquino children blessed Tita Cory's remains with holy water while they said their final farewell.
This was posted in commemoration of the upcoming Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 7. Tita Cory was a known devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
