@armancole2781 Жыл бұрын
@@tommytanaka7744even better ? In what way, if you’re giving an opinion like that please back it up. They’re partnership isn’t even on the level of the big 6 for WDO or WDC for them to even be thought of comparable to Riccardo in Yulia. Salvo has improved ALOT but he would never beat prime Riccardo, even when Riccardo was amateur champion in 2005, Ricardo’s body action, speed, and foot action was superior to Salvos. Also Sasha is good but she has a long way to go to even get to the league where Ina, Andra, Laura, Dasha, and Valeria. So she isn’t better than Yulia by any means, she dances like Yulia did in 2002 way before her professional career with Max then Riccardo. In terms of partnership, I can give an essay on how they aren’t at that level yet. I know it’s an opinion but jeez where is your knowledge of Latin dancing and it’s techniques to make such a statement. Enjoying them more, sure, but better? No Latin coach or high level dancer in the world would agree with you not even a little bit.

@@felicegreece The ORIGIN of samba was in BRAZIL! There is only Brazilian samba, the real one, THERE IS NO OTHER SAMBA! The problem is appropriating the name "Samba" for a dance that totally misrepresents the culture of another country. They should give this dance another name (which is beautiful... but it's not samba). Ignorance is rejecting what a Brazilian posts about samba (the real samba) just because you don't like the truth. True dance lovers will probably enjoy getting to know the real samba.
@felicegreece Жыл бұрын
@@Nathavolt the origin was in brazil , this doesn't mean there aren't MANY kinds of samba. The rythm is what defines the dance, and either slower or faster, they're still all SAMBA . Don't be close-minded.

Hi! As a Brazilian I don't recognize these dances as samba. I did some research in the internet and discovered many interesting things about samba. I was very curious to find out why what they call "International Samba" has become so uncharacteristic compared to the real Brazilian samba. Samba was created in Brazil and its origin is the drumming brought by slaves of people of African origin, mixed with European rhythms such as Polka, Waltz, among others. Initially, the dance parties of slaves of people of African origin in the state of Bahia were called "samba". The first manifestations of samba date back to the 1910s. As a musical genre, samba is influenced by batuque, lundu or polka and is even associated with maxixe. "Samba de Gafieira", which is the original samba de salón in Brazil, is the result of several influences, so it's important to know each one of these influences to understand the creation of the original Samba de Gafieira, its basis, and then understand its evolution with over time: Lundu, Jongo, Partido Alto, Capoeira, Samba do Malandro, Maxixe and Waltz. I saw a video that made me understand that it was not the Europeans who robbed us, but that the white Brazilian elite that appropriated the samba of the blacks and glamorized samba by eliminating its African influence and that it was this glamorized version that the government and the Brazilian elite of the time passed on to the Europeans (I think it's because they considered the original samba vulgar to dance in European halls at the time). Therefore, it's not Walter Laird's fault either, since he frequented the salons of the Brazilian elite and not the environment where the original samba was danced (in the street and bars with the people, mainly where it was frequented by Brazilian black people). In my opinion, as samba is an Afro-Brazilian culture, its elements with African influence cannot be removed. In my opinion, after removing the African influences, the resulting samba that originated what is now called "International Samba" was more similar to the old maxixe than to the true Samba de Gafieira. There were two versions of maxixe: the original, which is more erotic, ill-behaved and sensual and danced by the lower classes, and the version adapted for the elites, which is a more well-behaved version (the one that was passed on to foreigners). As maxixe influenced samba, these two versions of maxixe probably also generated the two versions of samba de salón: a more sensual one and a more well-behaved one, and generated the mess we are currently witnessing. See what the true maxixe was like, bolder and considered more vulgar at the time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2ibgnZqbM6DldE Wellington Lopes & Sheila Aquino Maxixe (ancestor os Samba Gafieira) - Paris 2013-01-05: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mH_KYXmqebJjY6c (I think this could be the version influenced by the maxixe danced by the lower classes of Brazilian society in the early 20th century, as it's more daring and sensual than the "behaved" version danced by the elites). kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKeXmHWabqyomKM "Behaved" version danced by the elites: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2GrhWupaMtmoLM kzbin.info/www/bejne/faq2e3WEbrCXotk kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnSuna17h7GUiNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3emaYygfp2Ug80 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGW1cptuh8iHbtU In the first half of the video below it shows the dances/songs that influenced "Samba de Gafieira" and in the second half it shows the real Brazilian ballroom samba (Samba de Gafieira) kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHO0aoRuqNmgbac.
