Salzburger Altstadt (Salzburg Old Town) - Austria

Vibrant, historic and romantic are just a few of the words to describe beautiful Salzburger Altstadt (Old Town) area of Salzburg, Austria. If you have ever seen the film "The Sound Of Music" you will likely see some locations used in this video.
As is usual with my videos, Ed does the narration; we take turns filming scenes and yours truly then edits and puts it all together.
Be sure to check out the other related Salzburg videos I've done where I concentrate on just the fortress, another on the catacombs of St. Peter's Church and another on the Mirabell Gardens, with yet another on the nearby Untersberg mountain massif.

Well, start getting ready....LOL Going to spend a week in NYC at the end of the month.... Can't wait to take photos/videos of Central Park and other areas with the fall colors on the trees.

I've just received your video! I was in Salzburg in 2019. It was a magnificent day! Well, that store dedicated to the film on Gertreidegasse has closed. Unfortunately! Good work! Daniel from Rio de Janeiro.

Thank you for the overview. We are going to Bavaria and Salzburg in May 2018 :) Staying at the Haus St Benedickt at St Peter's abbey.

You are welcome. Are you doing the Romantic Road in Bavaria and then the Alpine Road drive to head into Ausria. That is what we did. If I might suggest...do the Untersberg while in Salzburg, absolutely magnificent views from up there.

TheWWWatson : We wont be driving and will depend on the limo tour when we are at Garmisch Partenkirchen where we will be based. From there we will take the train into Salzburg. After watching your Untersberg video, I managed to find the Bus 25 that will take us there. After our stay in Salzburg, we will train to Regensburg and then return to Garmisch Partenkirchen.
