I can still remember hearing this on a record player as my parents swirled around the house with me crawling behind them. Man, Sam's voice is the only one that could melt me like butter. What sadness it is to know he was taken from us.

I just looked into his death and now I’m sad 😞 I’m not one to scream racism but it was 1964 and it was a white woman that killed him because he was angry. Unless he lunged or put his hands on her it’s the furthest thing from “justifiable homicide”.
