It's basically like Moonlighting, and the creators acknowledged it (in ep. 5 Sam and Eddie used David Addison and Madeleine Hayes as fake names to enter a building). But yeah, it has a definitely Castle-ish vibe (the writers Andrew Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller are from Castle, the music-man Robert Duncan is here too, and it shows ...)
