Dk kempion I don't know why but once I was out of my body I seem to be far more smarter then what I am now You also got to remember my whole family never ever went near a church or even come close to reading a bible So when his happen I did not know what was happening to me.

We have a soul alright But our soul not in our brain it though out our whole body and our soul can talk to other souls I found this out in an NDE about 40 years ago I left my body in an operating room while haveing surgery Back then I knew nothing about this But there I was above my body saying what the,,,,,,

The simple truth that "these first century books" had no ideas of the leaps in scientific knowledge of the last hundred years puts pay to them. We didn't know about 100+ billion other galaxies in our universe a century ago!

Tim Hopper I had a near death experience So I have been asking the same question why What I learn was the bible was not about this world but about the next world. In that world the science we know to day would be irrelevant.

Tim hopper This can be explained it was because that information was not relitve to the bible. The bible is about prepearing us for the spirit world not about this world There a lot of information not in it like that Christmass day is not when christ was born. Christ was born some time in september. Christmass day was when God was conceved in marry to become jesus Chrismass day was the day God become oine of us. The bible and Jesus are worked in the same way in to parible and though examples If God told us ever thing There be would not enought room of what God wishers for us The bible realy has no time line After 70 Ad when they smugaled out the bible in a cofin they tryed to give the 61 books of the bible a time line but there were to many missing books books though a lot of these missing books were found later But a great deal are still mising

It seems to me that he does a disservice to his perspective when he treats his opponents uncharitably like he does here. I am certain that some Christians think they'll recognize grandma and speak English, but there's surely also a more sophisticated view that speaks to our intuitions that, above or around the conscious content of thought, there might be something we call a self or a soul or a mind that exists as the sort of framework with which we hold thoughts. Perhaps the self is more like a vessel for subjectivity. I don't even believe in the actuality of a self, but I just wanted to point out that Harris is appealing to his audience's sense of superiority by using mockery.

TheLaughingOut I think you are being overly sensitive. George Carlin shook me out of religion with his religion is BS stand up. That was 100 times stronger than any thing Sam Harris has said ever. I don’t know anyone who came out of religion gently. You may not comprehend the horrible web that has been sown by it. It is why billions believe and can’t stand to hear opposing views. I am grateful for Carlin. With due respect I could have easily dismissed Harris. Not so easy to dismiss Carlin and Hitchens.

Maynardk Ford: Forty years ago My whole family were all atheist And so was I. So I was not at all religious When I was 26 I got very sick with a twisted bowl. I was so weak from this. that I got very dead. I was so weak I had died on an operating table After spending a half hour of chest compression they finely called it But then my heart stated up again My heart had stopped beating for a further eight minutes then it started up again they said all by it self But how could it In that time my blood had become semi-solid my blood had congealed in to the lower parts of my body. To them it was still a mystery How my blood flow had establish it self again. And they still don't know. But in that time My soul had left my body I was kinda floating above my body. Later I thought This was the opposite of what my parents had told me. That when we die we just end. I tell you now we don't just end. The evidence is my testimony Out of my body I was a whole person. I could see them below working on me. but like a chick when it hatches regards it egg shell I had no interest in my body any more. I drifted off in to some sort of a world between worlds. But that for an other time. what Im saying is I had feet hands every thing.

Maynardk Ford I was once like you. back then But I don.t blame you I wouldn't have believe it ether LOL Then this happen to me. We don't just end. At the end of our life there is a surprise waiting for all of us.
