I’ve never heard of this place but unexpectedly booked two nights here shortly after this published. It’s a nice place to spend the night. It seems like a brand new park.

That was the old campgrounds. Hurricane Laura did major damage was closed for a good while. The camping sites. are the newest and only place for campers.

Nice park, I stayed there once on my way to Florida. You will melt in the summer in that spot with no trees.

I live a couple of miles from this park. Hurricane Laura (2020) destroyed most of it. Was closed for a long time after the storms. When it reopened, it barely resembles the original park. The RV area was stripped of all trees and looks like a mobile home park. Massive renovations on all parts of the park. Tentr went bankrupt and abandoned the tent service. Is what I heard. Not sure if the tents are even rentable at this time. The tents replaced the pre-hurricane cabins that were destroyed and the tents appeared at reopening. Hundreds, maybe more of the trees were destroyed in the storms and renovations.
