I did 7 yrs and i know what it feels like. Everyone and everything moves on but you. You get out and its new to you and everyone else is in different points in their lives. It doesn't matter if it is a breakup from a relationship or even with family. You don't know how to take it because you don't know what has gone on while you have been locked away. You try to understand and when you realize you can't you try to move on and become a part of regular society but you still have memories plaguing your past that will not go away. You think you dont know whats going on but with tech as it is today, you see everything which is a constant reminder of what you missed

Please elaborate on how the lyrics and the video fits perfectly?
@daniell66103 жыл бұрын
@@djsmoov1 The song itself is basically the male narrator comparing breaking up now, where he's "dying on" his phone and finding it quite hard to move on, to the 90's where you would just move on. The music video is about a guy who has been in prison since the 90's who presumes his GF at the time he was arrested has moved on. He checks his new phone where he becomes further enraged and finds it difficult not to want her back. Different styles of exploring the topic, but overall, same concept.

This song feels HIGHLY reminiscent of "Breaking Up In a Small Town". It's got the same sort of structure (spoken word verses, melodic chorus) and even similar themes (not being able to get away from someone easily even after breaking up).

That was my exact thought as soon as the song started

I feel like it’s a continuation of that cause at the end of the music video for Small Town has him burning a building and in the beginning of this video he just got out of jail- like he was arrested for arson. And the girl he lost was also the same type of “petite, brunette pretty girl”

First time i heard this song it hit me right in the heart... deep in the feelings .. .. when you share your life with someone for long time .. and that day comes when that person wants to go there on way .... Social media is a constant reminder of what was... How many of us has facebook memories that pop up and there it is a photo that we took of that person ...You are looking at your friends instagram and you see a photo of your girl with another guy and they are happy ..there you are with memories flooding your brain ... its like you want to move on and put it behind you ,, like you did in the 90's with no social media .. its like you break up you go your way they go theres then a couple months go by and you see each other you talk and move on .. Not now its like no matter how hard you try its always something there .. ..I'm always amazed how a person can just move on without any issues ...

I think there was an old quote that read something like "Some believe that the worst feeling is being lonely, but its worse when you are forgotten by someone you can’t forget."
@kaddhakim3 жыл бұрын
@@abprepboy33 being lonely is for the most part (but not always) painful. Besides. concerning forgetting. I don't think that one needs to forget the past. in fact, one should learn from it so that he or she won't repeat the same mistakes in the next "lesson".

I love it! It's amazing how things can be so complex, but still so simple. This gave me a whole new outlook on "Wishin' I was somewhere I can be alone & Tired of bein' free." We've all felt this before, or will at some point in our lives. Great job Sam!

Sometimes relating to a song can mean you are experiencing the things written in the lyrics, other times they are a gift from God to let you know how things are gonna be for you. Regardless we all have our favorites and some mean more than others and this one is really hitting home right now. But it’s quickly moving from my favorite to a different song.

Yeah it was easier to take "Sorry I can't play with you anymore cause I'm in 1st Grade." Than probably all the methods we have now.... heck it was easier to kinda get over in the 2000s. Cause some will be like "Sorry I'm Emo now." Now you don't know if you're permanently on Read. Or you seen do or say something toxic online. And it's more than just crushes like sometimes even getting fired or losing a friend feels like a breakup.
