Pop Off! The "traditional genre" has been changing constantly. Conway Twitty/Hank Williams isn't close to being the same as John Michael Montgomery/Sammy Kershaw who isn't the same as whoever the hell's on the radio now (I stoppped listening for the most part 10 years ago for the above reasons. Saw it coming with Carrie Underwood). Sadly, everything changes. Now we have an infusion of young people making the kind of music they want to hear. It can't all be about storytelling and twang and heartbreak and ex's livin' in Texas. Sometimes it's about a younger demographic who still identify as country and don't want to suffer through trap (or even pop) music to get their party on.
