You dont need to have a beautiful lifestyle. They're just as happy in a single wide trailer as a mansion. All they need is a yard to play in and some legos and coloring books. They dont need name brand clothes, they're gonna outgrow them in 2 months or ruin them. People will just give you baby clothes for free because they want to help other parents. Just raise good, smart kids and keep them healthy and clean. If you can afford a box of diapers a month, you can afford a kid. Just have one. There's literally nothing better you can do unless youre busy curing cancer or something.

❤Bringing up how much land is unused is a great conversation. The Bureau of Land Management is not allowing poor people to build anything new anywhere. People who try to start building their own homes on BLM land have their homes burned down by the ATF. There's been dozens of news stories in the last year's saying that dangerous drug filled homeless encampments have been removed. When people live off the grid they don't have to pay taxes anymore because they can get most of what they need from each other. Building a new house is impossible for a poor person. You need to have connections to people in the BLM. That's why talking about building new cities is so important, the intention is not to have a small number of wealthy people owning all of this land, it's for lots of people to own land all across these new cities. I'd be interested to hear your take on the ATF burning down communes all the time, and how that sort of illustrates how people who try to just go out there and do it themselves are targeted and destroyed by the government. ❤
@Jm-dx9tl12 күн бұрын
The land isn’t free tho, you’re not entitled to get free land because it’s unoccupied or else large corporations would do that and then price gouge you out of the market even further.
@cno73312 күн бұрын
@Jm-dx9tl Yeah, there has to be a reasonable system, and people in control making sure that big corporations can't do that. Laws and policies can be written dictating this. It's what the BLM was made to do. It just seems that blm has become corrupt and complacent. That's how it was in America for a very long time. None of the first property owners in America paid for their property. People were still making claims on land in the 1960s. And of course, the government denied claims for huge amounts of property from big businesses. Today, the opposite is the case. Google and Microsoft are being given massive expanses of land, they say, to build new data centers. Meanwhile, when a group of people form a commune and start building, they are not only denied any claim of property; They are denied the ability to purchase the property, and they are attacked. Alleged "homeless encampments" are destroyed, and the occupants are killed and / or imprisoned. The Bureau of Land Management won't even pick up the phone.

@Gobbersmack well again, it's companies like Google and Microsoft that are actually being given land right now. Everybody is poor compared to these people. Anybody who actually gets service from the Bureau of Land Management is connected and is receiving preferential treatment. There's people out there who saved up and have plans to build something, and have gone through years of process trying to be approved and are still being denied. There's corruption in the government, i think.

Nobody was rich, it's about priorities and where you spend your money. You will probably be broke a lot at various times, you will just have to deal with it, get whatever from the government if you have to, but that means you don't buy stuff unless you have to have it 100%, until things improve. Ya idk... People definitely should have kids. If you are a man, you have a bunch of shit to get in order first. I have two kids at 30. Happy to be a young father but if you have ambitions of upward economic trajectory, thats tough sledding with kids.... Especially now that most people my age have parents and in some cases grandparents that are still working. Women need to find a high value psrtner in their 20s. Unfortunately lots of men are better off climbing the trades ladder first. If i could do it differently, i would have worked as much as i could to scrape together a decent savings before turning 18, probably not care about my grades in school as long as i got that diploma, and parley the mostly free community college into getting on the electrician trade path. By the time i had my first kid, wouldve been all set up for wife to stay home Instead i was a retart who drank the koolaid and got convinced i needed to become an elementary school teacher which i realized by year 3 of college is job for annoying women and pedos that doesnt make any money for all the extra bs you are forced to do outside of working hours. Now hear i am with two daughters running a 50k after expences a year and no real way for my wife to stop working cause we need the insurance from her and cant afford to let go of my income

“Rage is not good” proceeds to rage out over his browser. But yeah he’s really right about the kid thing. Regardless of whether or not Sam or Fuentes have kids they are damn right about what they say. I’m in the Philippines rn, people make 500 pesos a day to build my house, that’s 12.50, so like ten fucking dollars US a day. You don’t think people have kids here. I went to macdonalds the other day and the girl serving me had a two year old sitting on a chair bugging her she said “wait, lang” and finished my order. If your local McDonald’s won’t let your two year old sit there, sue them for discrimination. I see how kid friendly it is here in the Philippines and it fills me with that rage I’m not supposed to feel about how Canada has just become a place where the best thing you are told you can look forward to is the government lethally injecting you to your death.

@fluffypinkpandas12 күн бұрын
well sams right. its NOT expensive to just HAVE and TAKE CARE OF a kid. Where the article monetary numbers are coming from, is this sense of "its expensive to have a QUALITY raising of a child" because where they come from, they were well off and pampered, and they are finding it hard to replicate that same environment for themselves and their OWN offspring. I think the real culprit in this "million" figure they are pulling from, can really just be housing. The authors are considering the environment they believe to be fit for a proper upbrining, and all they can afford is a broom closet & they have resentment towards that. They ALSO have a sense of mini-me syndrome where they want their kid to grow up exactly how they did (or better so their kid can achieve what they themselves couldnt). Thats why THEY think its expensive to raise a kid these days. This mindset that you (a potential child) cant begin the game unless the deck is stacked in your favor (by your parents).
@Jm-dx9tl12 күн бұрын
It’s true tho, if you failed with advantages why would you want a disadvantaged child? If you didn’t succeed in school because you didn’t have help why would you want to raise a kid you’re too busy working for minimum wage to help study. I would say promoting abscentee parents is a bad idea, if you have to work doubles 5 days a week so you can survive in a 2 bedroom appartment with a roach infestation you shouldn’t bring kids into that.

He grew up in actual poverty, not like we have today. He went on to fight in WW2, came back home from France and got married. He became a headteacher in a school, fathered 4 healthy and well adjusted kids, then became a respect and well known member of the community through church and local meetings. When he died he surprised everyone by having way more money saved than anyone thought because he'd secretly been buying and selling stocks without telling anyone, setting up my grandmother for a great retirement and his kids with a good inheritance.
