Fuckin legend....and I'm a Richmond supporter,I'm 50 yrs of age now n will never forget the legends North Melbourne had running around against us in that '74-'82 period when I was really young and impressionable ,players such as Greig ,Schimmelbusch,Dench,Henshaw,Burns,Blight ,Kekovich,Croswell Cable,Breidas,Tanner etc are fuckin legends ,I stood in the outer in awe of these players as 8-14 yr old watching a future star in 18 yr old Allan Edwards take on dual Brownlow medallist Keith Grieg on the wing at Arden st was worth getting up n going to the footy for,Wayne Schimmelbusch has got to be one of the greatest players I've ever seen play the game ....every game that bloke played he gave his guts and soul ,I've never quite seen anyone like that bloke,in all my years, keka yur a beauty.

I remember sitting in the old Arden street Grandstand,as a kid back in 1973,the day Slammin' Sam kicked 10 against South Melbourne in what became our then highest ever score of 28.17.185. What a performance he and the Kangas produced that memorable day nearly half a century ago.We were breaking highest score and highest winning margin records every week.We did both that day but it was just one of many record-breaking Saturdays in those first couple of years under Barassi and with the champions we'd recruited via the 10 year rule.[We were the only club that voted against the implementation of the rule yet exploited it to the fullest before any other club knew what had hit them.] It was a great time for the club and a great time for a young North supporter to be growing up in.
