@bobbysands692311 ай бұрын
The first time I saw him was on an HBO special in 1985 or 86. It was a family gathering, moms, pops, brothers, sisters, etc. All of us were drop dead on the floor laughing. Will never forget that moment, nor him. "We got deserts, we don't live in them."

That last bit had to be a hard moment for Sammy. The guy's name was Kevin, and Sammy's little brother who committed suicide was also named Kevin. Wonder what went through Sammy's heart when he heard the same name? He really grieved over his younger brother. He's all fun here, though. Obviously was able to put it aside for his audience.

I love what he says about having to pay for all those extra channels in these satellite TV packages, the majority of which I would never watch, which mean absolutely nothing to me. But I disagree with him about the Weather channel. That's useful in warning folks about possible tornadoes and hurricane threats.They help us keep track of dangerous storms and life threatening temperature extremes. I do watch that one, and I also like the music they play on the Weather channel. But, he's right about the unfairness of having to pay for everything when you're only going to watch maybe a half dozen of those channels at most. We have sports channels on ours -- neither of us is into sports. Why should we have to pay for that?

From what I recall Sam claimed that Dice stole some jokes off him. He even said if you compared one of Dice's albums to his you'd see it clearly. Never compared it personally but I doubt he was lying because he mentioned it in a TV interview and seemed pretty pissed.
