Sam was THE MAN! He was raised to be a Pentecostal preacher when he was 5 yrs old & served in the church most of his childhood until he was an adult & realized WTF??? & left to do stand up! Unfortunately he was killed by a 17 yr old drunk driver in a head on crash going to another gig in his new 1989 Turbo Trans Am {I had one as well}! He was in a few movies & also had a hit song, a remake of 'Wild Thing'! Im glad I have remained a 60 yr old lifelong bachelor! Speaking of trains you really should check out Jimi Hendrix 'Hear My Train A Comin', one of my favorites ✌💖☮

A former Pentecostal preacher, he performed stand-up routines that were characterized by intense sudden tirades, punctuated with his distinctive scream, similar to charismatic preachers.He was big in the 80s. He is buried in the same cemetery as my grandparents, which was across the street from my dad's office. Several famous televangelists are buried there, like Oral Roberts. I find that amusing given that Kinison used to be a Pentacostal preacher before he did some very blasphemous material as a stand up.

You're fully entitled to your opinion obviously, but a lot of people can handle a wide spectrum of comedy. While a lot, arguably most of his material wasn't exactly cerebral and even juvenile, he did have some pretty witty and creative routines here and there. One of my favorites was "if Jesus was married". Comes home after hanging out with his buddies all weekend. LOL. "Oh, nice of you to come home SAVIOR. Where's your 12 loser friends that can't hold down jobs!!!" etc etc 🤣🤣🤣..."well honey, not that it matters but....I WAS DEAD!!!!!"
