Very very nice. And I was listening to the sound of the landing gear being released. For me that confirmed the sound that I hear when nothing is moving on the wings of the commercial airliners, it's gotta be the landing gears being released. It's a thump noise followed by an overlapping wind sound. And that occurs mostly on the Boeing 757s and the 767s. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

I’ve flown with female co pilots and I found them to be excellent pilots. Women in general are great at multi tasking and they tend to be perfectionists. I did notice though that they have a tendency to sit really close to the yoke even when they are average height whereas I like to sit with lots of leg room. That was a good landing Sam. Not sure if PC-24 has Thrust Reversers but I am used to flying Jets with TR and I always keep my right hand on Thrust Levers all the way down to touch down and landing rollout. As soon as my main wheel touches down, I crack open the TRs and as soon as the nose wheel touches down, I go into full TRs slowly unless the runway is long like those at KSLC. Even when I don’t use TRs I always keep my right hand on THRUST Levers from short final all the way to parking.
@PlaneJunkies3 жыл бұрын
no reverse thrust on the 24. as well when mains touch the lift dump from the spoilers is aggressive . it will slam the nose down hard if you don't pull back after flare . also the fact all our flight controls are direct linkage to the yoke and not assisted by hydraulics . . I recommend them to land with 2 hands the last 10 feet once committed if conditions permit . this gives you precise pitch control and fights the helps fight the lift dump on landing . course if the winds are wild we will have one hand on the thrust .
@ArizonaAirspace3 жыл бұрын

When will Sam be ready and able to fly alone? Can you do a video on that when she does, Tommy let her fly more full missions with you slowly not even coaching her, and then the solo flight eventually. Just like when we all did when we first did our private pilots license, "looking forward to that video, Sam's first PC 24 solo flight" Oh and WHY do those monitors flicker so much they should have that sorted out by now with the new technologies to stabilizing please find out if you can for me this doesn't happen in the falcon 2000s, Tommy if you can, I am curious what's going on there as a future owner of either one I find this annoying.

So glad to see that Sam uses both hands on the yoke on approach and landing. For some reason, there is an unwritten rule in aviation that a pilot MUST use only ONE HAND on the yoke at any time. nice,,, wonder why it has a yaw damper when it has a straight wing ? just to keep ppl happy i guess lol?

Lots of yaw during an engine failure at V1 with such slow rotations speeds not lots of airflow over the rudder they installed a rudder booster that kicks on automatically if an engine fails

Good landing, ma'am. You're so brave to put your flying out there for these armchair quarterbacks ! Where the majority don't even know how to fly, but 😊it's easy to set behi the keyboard and criticize your flying. When they know no one will see their's ! I think that in some situations, it puts unnecessary stress on the pilot's to fly for the fans instead of flying for the pilot's enjoyment . Ok, that's my two cents. Enjoy your time flying. 😎👍

So o have a question: We know the normal max range of the PC24 in various routine operational scenarios. But What is the maximum ferry range for the pc24? Could you reposition transatlantic for instance?
@jasonmcmillan65982 жыл бұрын
the PC 24 has a 2000 nm range. A plane could take off from St Johns, Nova Scotia and make Ireland with 1.5 hours of fuel left. But why spend that kind of money on a reposition? Reassigning a plane to a new base of operations is one thing. It would be cheaper for a charter company to contract another plane to cover a one off charter.

That's cool as. Just one question, how was she controlling the throttle?
@LBCORP19603 жыл бұрын
Good question! The PC-24 has an auto-throttle feature that most planes in this class do not offer. When engaged, it controls the speed on approach. It disengages automatically after landing. The pilot controls the throttle to exit the runway and to park. It’s a feature that I like very much because it reduces the pilot’s workload and decreases the chance of “information overload” that can cause a pilot’s brain to freeze at critical times in the flight.
