Faute ya commercant composed by the late SimaroLutumba The song title translates in English as "Its the trader's fault" Its because the trader sold the same type of dresses made with the same design and color to co wives, in African society co wives are believed to be competitors who loathe to see one another having something that could make her attract the attention of the husband. In this song this lady was complaining that since the trader sold her co wife the kind of dress he bought from him, he made her to be at par with her co wife. Then she consoles herself saying that, the trader did what he did because he needed to earn a living out of it.
