My grandmother used to have show birds. I even have some of her trophies; where most expect to see a likeness of a horse or dog, there are roosters and hens!! My uncle raised and raced homing pigeons. I have trophies of his too. Their entire yard was coops and pens filled with birds. They had incubators in their basement. She lived in the heart of a big Canadian city. She was extraordinary.
