I heard no shot at KJ. I WILL he was a physical athlete but his ability to lead was weak. He came to the bench got his bag of skittles and did absolutely nothing to pump up that team. You have to be a leader and he could or would not do that and that slowly destroyed the attitude of that team

A little shade thrown KJ’s way perhaps. KJ was a big factor in what success Sam has had as HC here. His problems last season were partly due to getting the money before doing the job, but also due to Sam’s decision to drastically change the offense that had worked pretty well when the OL didn’t suck.

From what I’ve heard the bulk of the NIL went to KJ and Rocket. Last season all you heard from Rocket was about building his brand and KJ with his diamond earrings and cuff links. And then Rocket goes down again and KJ basically quits. It’s just toxic. I think Sam probably ushered them both out the door. I think he has gone back to what he knows. By all accounts from what we've heard behind the scenes, KJ got a bit of a big head and head some prima donna tendencies, and his leadership ability suffered for it. Green has the combination of rare talent, humility, and youth on his side, and it's clear that his leadership ability so far has been tremendous. Nothing Coach Pitt said was a shot at KJ as much as it was praise for TG. #WPS

To answer your first question I think 6 wins and a bowl berth keeps him his job but he’ll still be in the same spot the next year without a game or 2 better than 6 wins. He might even keep his job with 5 wins and a lot of close losses but his seat will def be the hottest in 2025.

@@HawgHomer I see what you’re saying but, there are some big commits for 2025 that Hunter won’t wanna lose. Also those 5 wins would have to be along side some close losses and a clear vision of a better 2025. I’m not even sure I believe that either, but I kind of thought he wouldn’t be here this season, so I’m just saying it might be possible.

@@Blake_Hawgfan24 I hope not, I get the recruits part but to be fair we have also lost the top 3 players in the state for the 2025 class. Idk why but I honestly feel like the calipari hire puts pressure on Hunter to make the right decision after the 2024 football season. And not only make the right decision when it comes to keeping or firing Sam but making the right decision when choosing the next HC of the program
@Blake_Hawgfan24

@@HawgHomer absolutely agree with the Calipari pressure. .It also lets him (Hunter) know if he gets the right person in there the NIL will roll in like it did for basketball. Pretty sure a lot of boosters and fans are holding their contributions until they like the coach we have. Like I said I think you’re probably right about how many wins wills do it or not, but I also won’t be surprised if they try to ride it out another year just going off the fact he’s still there after last year. All that being said, I like Pitman and I hope he can do it, but if not he knows as well as anybody it’s time to move on.

KJ did great things for the university of Arkansas, he led this team to 9 wins for the first time since Petrino. He gave us many great memories as well. The issue is why bring in a pro style offense when kj was so good at running the veer and shoot. The offensive line was also horrible. Idc who you are no qb would look great under those circumstances. I personally thing KJ is gonna excel at UCF with Malzahn

bruh with NIL money, you do NOT have to go after in-state talent no more....you can get anyone in the country with NIL now that are better than Arkansas players, and to fit your system.
