@@JazzBums Thanks guys 😊 I’m going to Paris again in 2 weeks and will visit Fred. Let me know if there is something you want me to ask him about (except the next release - which will be Mat Waldron coming out in November 😉).

This is again an absolute gem of a job: I really wasn't sure about buying because of the price, but just taking the jacket in my hands and I was just in awe! The record is very well pressed and the music is absolutely great. Such an absolutely beautiful experience. I really don't mind the record being a 45 rpm if it enhances the quality of the recordings. Probably one of my favourite purchases in 2024.

@@carlmorin5518 You’re right - top quality all the way. 45 is fine for me as long as it doesn’t break 2 sides up into 4 (and thus breakes up the musical experience). Thanks for your comment 😊

Hi Captain! I always look forward and welcome your record reviews and this one like all the others did not disappoint. I already own the two BobbyJaspar recording you spoke of. As for the Django Reinhardt, I'm a bit jealous of you. I preordered a copy in July and still waiting for it to be shipped. Perhaps because I'm the USA. I guess I'll just have to be a little more patient, after all, Fred is a one man operation while putting out a consistently excellent product. I'm certain the wait will be well worth it. I look forward to your next segment.

@@TonyHarrison-dk1ey Thanks a lot for your kind words 😊 Fred just got back from holiday last week, so I’m sure he’s busy packing the orders (does it Friday + Saturday when he’s in the shop). The Bobby Jaspar’s are great - and really nice to listen to when you need something that’s not to “demanding”. Thanks again.

@@Claus-CaptainPhoenixCorner Thanks for the information Captain. It has been some time since I last played those two Bobby Jaspar recording. I'm sure you know how it is with record collecting and how we tend to listen to the newer recording more and lose sight of or often forget about those purchased long ago. Thanks to you, I've already pulled the two Bobby Jaspar albums to be enjoyed this evening. All the best.
