Persimmons are very sweet and make excellent jam. I prefer peeling them. The skin is a bit harder than apples. They are tasty.

They have a members survey program .I don't even remember how I got into it. You give opinions on packaging designs, new items, etc and earn points for gift cards. Maybe that's where the member chosen designs come from :)

My mom loved persimmons but only ripe. She said if they weren’t ripe they would be hard and incredibly sour/bitter. It’s possible the ones you saw are a different variety and would be okay green.
