The proms are a concert season in the uk across late spring to autumn in uk at the royal Albert hall music concerts dating back to the beginning of the bbc

A prom in the US is where a couple get really dressed up, I mean like in a tux or suit for the man and a formal dress for the girl, and they get pictures taken and they go to a dance. Some rent limousines to take them to eat and go to the dance and then they will go to the beach for the weekend. Some rent party buses or Humves. This is for Juniors and Seniors in high school. Others can go but a Jr or Sr has to ask them as their date. It's a pretty big event. When they get to the place where they are having the dance, they walk in and are introduced as they get there.
