☆ This is a "Fathomless Beautiful Love Story!" I've listened many times to this Song; especially the last year! It's one of my favorite of Sam Smith's Songs! ☆ Emotionally, I'm not sure if it's a heart-pounding, heart-bounding LOVE for another. OR, if it is about the heart-agonizing memories of having found LOVE, then thereafter losing it! I read recently that: "Your heart will never let you forget something (someone) that once made you happy!" ☆ I Say: We remember YESTERDAY for the "Experience" thus the "Lessons" it taught us. Why is it so affecting? I think that at the center of any "guy" story (literature, movie, song) there has to be a big old dose of Fatalism. It's because, men in particular, are locked in an endeavor they won't, and can't, win. Life. Not to say the women don't feel it also but a male is "hard wired" by God for traditional responsibilities whose end game is Sacrifice. "..I have to risk it all..." Fathers get the short end of life with the family because the traditional role is of the provider. I love women but the prime mover of most women's psych is that they want things to happen, but they don't want to be the cause. ........."..the writing's on the wall..."
