Sam Winchester • Ghost of You {AU}

I’ve had this idea for a long time but never really knew how to do it??? But then I came up with the idea to use this song, and I went from there! This was my first time making a full AU edit, so I hope you all like it! You can find the storyline below!
Story:
Sam lost his brother Dean in a hunting trip. He is having a hard time dealing with loss, but he knows that he must move on. While packing up Dean’s stuff he remembers how he brought Dean’s body back to the bunker and how hard it was for him to build the fire for the funeral. In order to help him put dean more at peace, Sam decides to burn Dean’s stuff. However, doing this did not help Sam at all. Sam even tries therapy to help him deal with his loss/grief, but he can’t stop thinking of dean. One night, Sam wakes up in the middle of the night after hearing something in Dean’s bedroom. He goes to check it out, to find that Dean has somehow returned, as a ghost. At first Sam is happy to have his brother back, but he knows that having dean there is not helping him. No matter what he does, Dean is always there. Sam doesn’t want his brother to leave because they have had some good memories, but he knows that having Dean there with him is not healthy. Eventually, Sam reaches a point where he can’t figure out if Dean is actually a ghost or if Sam is just going crazy. However, after going to a mental hospital, Dean is still there. Realizing that Dean won’t leave him, Sam decides to let dean live along with him. Dean was there when Sam got married and got to watch his son grow. Many years later, Sam’s son creates a memory video of Sam and Dean and shows it to his dad. After watching the video, Sam realizes that he can’t keep living his life with ghost dean beside him, and that it’s not fair to dean. In the end, he comes to the conclusion that it is okay to let Dean go. Once Sam admitted that Dean can go, Dean disappears and leaves Sam to live his life. So the question is, was Dean really a ghost or just a vision in Sam’s mind to help him cope with his grief? I’ll leave that up to you to decide!

I’m sobbing. It’s been months since Carry On, yet I still feel the pain of Dean’s loss as if he were a real person. We were blessed with 15 seasons of the Epic Love Story of Sam and Dean. How is that eternity not long enough? I miss Sam and Dean fiercely. Thank you so much for this beautiful video that reminds me I’m not alone in grieving my beloved brothers.

OMG! You made me cry but also I'm very impressed how you put this together. I mean it's a great choice of scenes from Supernatural and Walker. It fits so well! You asked a question at the end of the description. I think that Dean isn't a ghost, it's like part of Sam's subconscious just like Emily is Cordell's subconscious in "Walker". In this AU story Dean even dead will be always with Sam just like Emily is with Cordell.
