I love Sam and Dean but I think Sam doesn't get as much credit as he should, everybody talks about how much Dean has on his shoulders but what about Sam. Sam has been through so much and he's still standing. Also people think about how Dean always looks after Sam always, but Sam would do the same for him and loves his just as much. But i love them both equally. Sam is so strong and has a lot of weight to carry on his shoulders and there is no doubt on my mind that he has enough more that enough strength to carry it.

+Tina Khashogji In Dean's defense, he has shown multiple times that he could not and will not fight Sam, where if provoked or reminded, Sam will attack Dean on his own accord. Dean has brought back Sam from the dead multiple times, gone through hell to get his soul back and risk his soul and life for his little brother. Both times Dean has been dead, Sam hasn't brought him back or tried very hard at all to bring back Dean. He has looked for ways but never went through with them. This is why I think Dean has most of the credit, in my opinion.

But being Sam the little brother in my opinion it's hard for him in so many ways to have so much on his shoulders and I understand why Dean gets more credit than him, but I always think about how Sam is the younger one and had so much on him, like the guilt of everything he has done and the pain that he has to walk around with all the time and being the Devils vessel and the demon blood and the apocalypse, as well as the trials and saving his brother and yes I was extremely upset when Sam didn't look for him in season 8 but I think there were reasons why. For example Crowley told Sam that he was now and truly completely alone so I think he assumed Dean was dead and in heaven so maybe that's why and he may have hit that dog because he was driving drunk because of Dean being dead and maybe deep down he wanted to crash and die to be with him. I'm not saying it's true, I like to think

This is why Sam is the most complex, fascinating, strongest and the most righteous character in the entire show. Dean does not even come close. The show was meant to be about the trails and tribulations of Sam the protagonist- the chosen one. The boy with the demon blood, who's free will and defiance, the same defiance he fought against his father, was the same defiance and free will he used to defeat Lucifer. Sam Winchester. What a spectacular character.

Yeah, Sam is a spectacular character as well as Dean. Sam and Dean are soulmates, they need each other equally. Sam or Dean alone wouldn’t function. I both agree and disagree with you. The best way to describe Sam, is as a martyr. Throughout his entire life, Sam always stood for what he believed in, even if it meant sacrificing himself. As a result Sam was always the most virtuous of the brothers and of all the characters on the show, as well as the most complex character. Everything he ever did, even to drink the demon blood, came from a utilitarian aetiological level of reasoning, as he understood that drinking the demon blood, was requisite to defeat evil, as the power and ability to do so lay solely in him. That was always the point of SPN, Sam, the chosen boy with the demon blood. Sam understood that at times, we are coerced to make hard decisions, even morally questionable ones, if it means to bring about the greater good. Therefore for me, Sam never really made a mistake, he always made the right decision based on the information he had available to him at the time, and Sam's decisions were always founded upon his desire to save people and bring about the greater good - even if it be via defiance. This willingness to sacrifice for what he believed in, this martyrdom, is by default accompanied by a profound sense or responsibility and this was always the issue. Sam always placed the burden of all responsibility solely on himself, even when it was not his fault. Sam's enormous sense of accountability was so immense, that he took upon himself the faults of others and became the punching bag of every other character in the show, who failed to take responsibility of their own short comings. Sam the martyr always had to bare all. One example is how he was blamed for the apocalypse, even though Dean was the one who broke the first seal by torturing souls in hell and thoroughly enjoying it for 10 years. Dean not only never holds himself accountable for his involvement in the apocalypse, but he also barely addresses how easily he had succumb to torturing souls in hell and worse yet enjoying it. Dean instead chose to burden his brother for the apocalypse and Sam, as a true martyr, always accepted that responsibility, even though everyone wanted to kill Lillith and no one knew that killing Lillith _was_ the last seal. In fact, Dean wanted to be the one to kill Lillith and as such made an agreement with Zacariah to do so. Yet when Sam did so, as he was guided to do so by the angels and the demons, he was villaimzed by all, for doing what was agreed upon by all. Yet he took that blame and never defended himself. Sam did the exact same thing when he got his soul back in season 6. He took full responsibility and apologised for all deeds he committed, even though he was not actually the one who had committed the acts. He was in the deepest gate of hell being ripped to shreds by the devil himself for 1000 years, yet upon having his sould returned to his body, he was immediately villainzed by Bobby and had to apologise for acts he quite literally, did not commit. This was the first thing he did upon returninh from hell, you know, where he was after sacrficing himself to save the planet. Yeah. Bobby apparently found Sam's souless behaviour unforgivable. What a dick. Even at this point, we see the deeply virtuous and moral empathy and intelligence that Sam possesses, however to his detriment. This is why, and I repeat, he became the punching bag. However Sam was always the most righteous in the end and so to synopsize, he had not made mistakes, he always took the most rational and righteous path. Sam is just a phenomenal character.

That was one of the best Sam videos ever! So deep and meaningful. I love the song you chose, not only because i love m&s, but also cuz i think it fits Sam very well. You showed so many aspects of his personality, the guilt, the anger, how lost he feel but also how strong he is, in spite of everything what happened in his life. You used perfect voiceovers, i especially love the last one about the trials! And of course your impeccable scene choices! :D This video can't be more perfect!
