Thanks for sharing these beautiful memories...of the Teacher's Training College. Reminds me of my Dad who was an academic via TTC. As a child we used to watch this particular group perform. And I recognised the late Aiono Keneti. God bless all our teachers.

These songs are imprinted on my mind as memories of the 1970s when I taught at SJC. I was privileged early in 1976 to sit in on some of the training college practices at Malifa before the group headed off to Rotorua. What an inspiring presentation of traditional songs! Malo lava, Samoa!

Awesome story! Great to learn u taught at SJC - being a former student myself. Next month will mark the 100 years of the Malisi Old Pupils Association- so I'm sure many of your former students will all be there as well ☺️

true samoan siva,,,,e le fitivale, meaning actions are simple and graceful and each dance describe a daily samoan activity,,,,or making of a samoan traditional food,,,,,or a story describing factual everyday life of Samoa. this is rarely seen and only this group is carrying/continuing this true samoan siva nowadays..... hats off to the all Samoan teachers.....
