What bakwas discussion. In 1971 Pakistan sent their Ghazi Submarine to attack' Vikrant India's aircraft Carrier. Well, the Pakistani Submarine Ghazi was sunk lock stock and barrel without firing a shot. All sailors on board drowned off the coast of Vishakhapatnam.

The Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi sank with a loss of 93 personnel under disputed circumstances on December 4/5, 1971. Indians officially claimed that it was sunk by INS Rajput, however other Indian officers, including Commodore Ranjit Roy and Admiral Hiranandani, are less sure of the cause of the sinking. Pakistani official position is that the submarine sank as the result of an accident. A few days later on December 9, 1971 the Pakistan Navy submarine PNS Hangor sank the Indian frigate INS Kukri with a loss of 194 lives.

Good discussion. One thing, which Pakistan really needs is a World Class Fleet of National Shipping Industry. Right now PNSC (Pakistan National Shipping Corporation) is very small shipping corporation. For exports to increase you need have your own Ships. PNSC has very few Ships, now. Back in 1970s, it had a fleet of 70+ ships, but now now not even 20 ships. I agree with Analyst that we need at least 14 ports, and 1,00s of ships, not just 20 ships. Bangladesh has much better Shipping industry than us now. We also need to build those Ships in Shipyards of Pakistan. Pakistan does have a National Shipyard, in Karachi, but that mostly manufactures Navy ships. Even for small fishermen, we use wooden boats, 1000s year old technique. We need modern Fiberglass body fishermen or even tourist boat/ferry, manufacturing facilities.

With the development of missiles the aircraft carrier is fast becoming obsolete. In a conflict with China the US aircraft carriers will not be able to operate in the South China Sea because of China's highly advanced and large number of missiles. So yes US and China and other countries' aircraft carriers can be used to project air power only against countries with weak missile forces. Pakistan has built up its anti shipping missile capability with the help of the Chinese to the point that it would be dangerous for Indian aircraft carriers to attempt air attacks from the sea in a conflict. Pakistan has also received supersonic anti shipping missiles such as the CM400AKG from China. This missile is termed the aircraft carrier killer, so even the anti missile destroyers of the battle group may not be able to prevent the aircraft carrier from being sunk.
