Beautiful! Can pignoli nuts be substituted instead of almonds?

Thanks for the recipe. 😋 I like that it’s egg free. And, it’s wonderful that you shared flavor substitutions!!

I love semolina cakes! I have to try this recipe. How do you know if an olive oil is light?
@DimitrasDishes4 ай бұрын
It usually will be less expensive and will not say cold pressed or extra virgin. It's also not as green. Feel free to use any vegetable oil that you like and trust :)

Hello Dimitra, This is Helen from Athens. Thanks once again for a great recipe. We were just talking the other day with friends about how we need a recipe for a samali cake. Although the original recipe is strictlly vegan because it's a cake eaten during lent, it'll definitely become my new go to cake for potluck events. Simple and as all your recipies I've tried, foolproof!

I like the sound of it but don't have a big sweet tooth, so what would you suggest to adjust the sweetness? Thank you sharing.
@DimitrasDishes4 ай бұрын
This cake is meant to be sweet because of the syrup. It will be dry without it :)

Thank you for the recipe, ı cook this cake very often but liked the egg free version. Think hot cake absorbs syrup at room temperature more easily😃

Wow. This is one of the coolest cake recipes I've ever seen. It's maybe like a chess pie bar. I really like the semolina ingredient. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👏👏
