Nah not for me. All my adidas collection are cross laced. I find when they’re bar laced they look longer , the actual shoe. Plus the way he’s doing it can you actually pull them tighter if needed as they’re all in weird places. Same side going into the same side as opposed to crossing over so you can pull them a Tad tighter. If you do that knot and leave it inside top after a while it’s gonna hurt or rub. I tie mine normally but leave one side of the knot longer and tuck it down side. Hardly any lace on show. I agree with the kid, that nobody wants huge laces on show. No crossed lacing for me and always will be!

This is the best lacing system for people with a high instep. Great for long distance running too. If you are feeling tightness on the top of your feet with the common zig-zag pattern, try this instead.

Was wondering, though: When preferring bar lacing, should I purchase alternate laces that are measured as 1 or 2 more eye pairs longer than the actual number of eye pairs on the shoe itself? Watching your presentation several times carefully makes me think that longer laces are required for bar lacing vs. stock laces that already accompanies the shoe from the factory. Pls. advise? Thanks for the video!.. Did these with my Superdry Truman Premium lace up and they look super clean!.. Just one thing I feel like the laces tucked under the insole or sock liner is it?.. Feels more comfier as opposed to making a knot and leaving it at the top which during the day might hurt the foot or be alittle uncomfy... Just my humble opinion but thanks Alot for the vid!.. A knot sitting inside the top would hurt like fuck after an hour or two. Personally prefer the cross lacing. All my collection are crossed. I think the bar lace makes them look longer. I just tie the knot so one side is longer and tuck it down the side. Hate huge laces on show.
