Romania is such a place of contradictions. Beautiful land and nature all around but then I see that poison lake and I’m filled with sadness. Why is this allowed to happen? I’m heartbroken to see how the people have to live, and all the stray dogs make me so sad. That ancient lift in your hotel was pretty scary too! Brilliant explore! Thank you Sam and Jess xx

There is a B&B in Eastbourne with the same type of 2 person lift as that one, Note 2 person. One day I got into the the lift and 2 men joined me. By the time I got to my floor the lift stopped about 3" below the step.

Yet another banging video, Sam and Jess! I had forgotten just how bad the roads could be over there. I visited one village early evening, and had to stop the car, as a herd of cows were walking down the main street on their own, and then each one turned into the courtyards of the various villagers houses, it was such an extraordinary sight! Looking forward to seeing your next video of Bran Castle. I turned up too late to have a tour of the castle :-(. I did however visit the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, in Sighisoara, which was an incredibly beautiful ancient city. Again, loving this series :-)

This video literally breaks my heart 💔💔💔 Sooo very sad that the people of Romania are sooo very poor & are forced to live in this deteriorating condition of life😢😞😰As an animal lover, it breaks my heart 💔 to see the living conditions of these poor creatures 😢😰😢 I a wish that animal rescue groups would go to Romania, spay & neuter & rescue as many animals as possible… I know that, that would be such a costly adventure… but sooo very worth every penny👍🙏💕 Thank you, Sam & Jess for bringing our attention to this tragic situation…look what we humans have done to our beautiful earth😢😞😰

Jess, you are an amazing driver to put up with this. As for what you where wondering what that pipe thing was, i think, i am sure, they are trying their hardest to filter the toxic out, so, it goes through a channel system, but, because it's so basically done, it will take years to filter out. My friend Terew lives in Romania. Such a delightful man to speak to. This place that's so beautiful in a horrific way. Sadly we have a place here in the states that has a water issue that's left many many homes empty as well as families with deaths and illnesses. So we count our blessings for many things in our lives, especially clean waters. The sunken city I've seen in a documentary and someone else visited there but cant remember who. You 2 need to carry jerky with you for days like the one you had. Much love from the states. An I hope your feet didnt get wet..toxic water is nothing to take for granted. xx

This is so incredibly tragic on so many different levels. The earth, the people in the poor dogs and animals. Imagine dogs that wander out in that mud they can’t go rescue them. And they’re just all dying a slow death because that’s the water they have to drink. As much as I love you too my stomach was so upset during this whole video. A beautiful view looks like a painting of toxic waste. looking out at the turquoise water that that cabin is in the outside that abandon house. Number 22. That was really cool. oh Sam you’re slipping I’m worried about you guys falling in that stuff. you Gotta know that those milking cows you’re gonna get toxic milk from them. So sad it’s the whole thing makes me so sad. 😢 Dang that’s a long road trip! At least you found the main road. I was worried about you guys getting out. Exploring with fighters did it about a couple of years or so back. The lake where the church is, was still that blue with pink areas. The also did the salt mine with the playground. Yes you could see the graves. I think it was that journey Dan picked up a dog and smuggled it to England. The later he had all vaccines and official import papers done. Lucky they didn't end up inside.

Interesting video, I wonder what is going on bellow ground there, with natural caves and aquifiers that pollution could have spread very far. I do love the vlog style bits of you traveling, even if you are stuck in a car for hours! As an animator I have a hard drive full of sound effects, I sorted them recently I now have a folder labled 'various wood bangs' with about a hundred royalty free foley sounds of wood being dropped on various surfaces...😂 I think I've used one or two on a trailer anim about two years ago. I have a 'halloween pack' of sound effects with a folder of 25 'pig slaps' and 'pumpkin drops' 🙃
