I think the lesson im learning from you guys is that God puts people together. I cant make it happen, i can only respond when it does happen.

Amen brother. God put me and my ex from 9 years together in college by making us seek each other out to help the other with problems only they could solve. In the process of the difficulty, we bonded and come to love each other deeply until God separated us when she transferred. Even though we both agreed it was the best for her, I never got closure, but I have a recent stirring in my heart to seek her out and reconnect recently for some reason.

This is encouraging. I personally have given up on dating apps and deleted them. I felt like I was constantly pressured to compromise on my boundaries and my values by the men I met so I stepped away. My urge to remarry and have another child is strong and I often wonder if stepping away is the right path. Being an older woman most men my age no longer want children.

Thank you for mentioning the stress and Anxiousness part of the process. I was worried something was wrong with me. (Well maybe there is, but I guess it's not that lol:) It's interesting how 1 person can be so comfortable and confident while the other may have doubts etc. I can relate to feeling like I didn't really know the other person even after a few months of talking.

This is so helpful to me. Thank you for sharing your story. You make a beautiful couple! Sadie, your anxiety isn't a weakness; it is a huge strength from your sensitivity to others. Embrace your anxiety as a precious, fragile part of you and lean on God through Sam, and it will open the door for you to be you.
@samandsadie4 ай бұрын
We can definitely all learn to view our weaknesses as a way to honor God through His strength and ability to show Himself when we lack strength!
@talonthorn4 ай бұрын
@@samandsadie That is true, good advice. However, I really mean it when I say your anxiety reflects a strength in you. It manifests as a weakness because like me, you learned to not trust it. (This may not be true about everyone's anxiety.) I sincerely encourage you two to prayerfully consider what I wrote. [This is news even to me!!🤦♂ I've always had anxiety, but never thought about it like this. Forgive me for being so forward, and I pray this does not mislead you. I would not write this to you if I did not believe it, but admonish you to take it (and everything) directly to God for confirmation. I would never want to stand in for someone's personal relationship with God. Don't praise me; give the glory to our Father in Heaven!] May you two ever grow closer by falling in love with God.💘

@@samandsadie As a followup, I've come to realize that for me, my anxiety hides the gift of faith. In my life, I've never doubted God, asked why in protest, nor said I can't believe in a god who allows . Whenever something seemed to contradict this, I knew without question there must be an explanation that would reveal God as being loving and righteous. However, I did not apply this same faith to what God said to me--how much He loves me. It was April 9, 2022; God gave me the verse, anything not of faith is sin. After meditating on it, He freed me of a stronghold of fear that I've had since early childhood. Since then, my life has been beyond amazing, with no sign of letting up. Since I first saw this in something about Sadie, about her anxiety, please payerfully consider it. God bless, and you are in my prayers.

I'm 26, and I feel so terrible about myself when I watch videos like these. I'm never gonna find anyone. I'm very unlikeable for some reason, even when I have my career, finances, hobbies, fitness, and relationship with God ticked off the list. I'll just walk with my Jesus alone. I'm so happy for you guys, though.

I am envious of you ( which I knew is wrong and controlling myself otherwise it will steal my joy) in the way you have to all together by the age of 26, especially financially. I am a age 27, single, living with my parents yet, and struggling financially with little to no growth being my weakest aspect. Yet I want to get married one day knowing God is preparing me for it as He has already done emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and practically. The negative thoughts kill me sometimes from Satan making me feel unworthy and disqualified from marriage because of a lack of money, but I can say that focus on your relationship with God even more. There is always something more to learn and grow from when you ask God to teach you more about yourself and your heart. It’s how He is preparing me for a Godly marriage. He is always testing your faith and where your heart lies trust me on that because it could be why you aren’t meeting people. Whether through unreasonable expectations, too much pride thinking you don’t need God, or something else, there is always room for growth and to let God in to learn more.

I really need prayers right now, I feel really hopeless. I downloaded a couple Christian dating apps and I’m talking to a young man whom I really like and who is great husband material, however I can’t truly discern whether God really wanted us to be together or if it was coincidence. All I want is to be a great wife, especially this guys wife, and I’m working on leaving home as soon as possible so that I can get married. But I can’t guarantee that if it doesn’t work out I’ll be okay, which is a really big problem. I should be okay with not getting my way because I still have the Lord with me, but I can’t stand the same thing happening over and over again. I don’t pray that God let us be together, but reveal whether or not we are meant to be together and get married, and that if it doesn’t work out that I will still be okay. All I want is to be married.
@Emma1881 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I came across your message. I think you should take it one step at a time. See the guys character and if that’s someone you can see yourself having a family with, having children with, growing old with. No one is perfect but if there is something about the young man that intrigues you and he is a man of faith that shows godly character then you should continue talking to him. Don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions so you can really see what type of person he is. I pray that what ever is Gods will happens! ❤️

Saying "like" is a common trait of intuitive people. It is them trying to put their inner thoughts into words. It isn't easy, so they (we) try to make comparisons to concepts and objects to take the place of words. (Ironically, we can be quite good at putting words together when writing, but not when speaking.)
