Fish is the most fabulous of all, but also try Erin Coburn - she's only in her early twenties, but is awesome on guitar, has a good voice and is energetic and playful on stage!

Who in the right mind would give this performance a Thumbs Down?!? Sam is one Hell of a guitarist and performer!
@HeyMykee6 жыл бұрын
Possibly because it isn't even the whole song, just the solo? That's what I'm thinking anyway, though I still dig the hell out of it.

This is awesome! ❤️ This is so much better than the current band. The years 2017-2019 with her previous band were golden! Playful and dynamic.

This seems to be a signature tune of her live shows. The best version I've seen is Nov. 2017 Dortmund - search for it, and start at 13:00. She puts all of herself into it. Goosebumps. And it's a beautifully constructed solo.
@acm13506 жыл бұрын
Koho- so I took your suggestion and watched the Dortmund performance. YOWZAA! You were spot on with that description. Fantastic solo and she really just loses herself in the playing. You never wanted it to end. I'm gonna watch it again. Thank you for that suggestion!

Another huge thank you!! I'm trying to find all her best live performances, and that is definitely one of them. Here's a direct link for anybody searching: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaPCmoCBn62Up9E&frags=pl%2Cwn (It took a little sleuth work).

I was in this rabbit hole checking up on some of my favorite Japanese female guitarist and Samantha came up [check out Saki (Nemophila & Mary's Blood) and Yuki (D_Drive) these ladies can play!]. Anyway back to Samantha, this is my first introduction to her playing and I like it. What's the history, and is this just a jam or a repeated single I can look up? I'll definitely check more of her out. BTW, I don't understand why people feel the need to always jump in and nitpick on everything they see as negative. Yes your entitled to your opinion but if someone is trying to introduce or share something they think is cool with others, if its not your bag, go ahead say so and leave it at that. Why the need to tear down every little thing YOU think is terrible. Obviously there are people who actually get some joy from this music regardless if someone else thinks it sucks. Honestly, just because someone has an opinion doesn't mean it matters. This dude probably put this out there because he felt is was a cool vid and wanted to share. Its not a review video. I personally think what I heard is cool and unique, I feel her music. But if you don't that's fine too, but there's no need to harp on why you think it sucks, because honestly, probably nobody cares.

I live on the west coast, northern CA. we don't have any good radio stations out here anymore, just POP, Hip Hop, a few country station, so I don't listen to radio much at all. My question is, down south does Samantha get airtime on the radio, do you hear her stuff played on the radio? She should be way more famous then she is, I've bought three of her album because of her KZbin videos, and can't stop listening to them. Why is she not a national household name? Because she plays Blues? That's just crazy! What is going on?

I love to listen and watch Samantha just play her signature guitar and she plays that Gibson SG damn good, but ... she needs to learn to set her effect pedals and leave them alone while she's playing a solo... or get a rack type effects device. I have used pedals and a rack effects device. The rack type can be used with a mini foot controller that has effect banks that you can load up a certain amount of effects ... and play each effect separately or together... with the tap of a switch on the mini foot controller. Adjusting a number of online effect pedals is time consuming and looks unprofessional up on stage. You don't see players like Joe Bonamassa or Kenny Wayne Shepperd and others adjusting their effects while on stage. Well, she's still young and she could learn from those players I just mentioned. She'll learn to work less and play easier someday.

Shit, man, she knows all that and more. Second-guessing choices like this that might look awkward or weird is pointless when talking about an artist of this quality.
