Samantha Fish is a prolific songwriter and gifted blues guitarist who has released six albums since her debut in 2009. She's a seasoned performer whose versatile vocal delivery and technical, yet soulful guitar playing has spanned the gamut of roots music: rock n roll, jazz, blues, country and even doo wop. Fish released two albums in 2017 alone, highlighting her deep knowledge of Southern blues and Western country.

I have lost count of the number of times I have watched this but it must be in to three figures by now and every time I have the hairs standing up on my arms. This is one of my Desert Island tracks - the ones I would want with me if I were ever abandoned in the middle of nowhere. It is one of my top ten solos up there with Stairway, Comfortably Numb and Paradise City. This is someone putting everything they have into the music - heart soul blood sweat tears guts and metaphorical cojones. And having been lucky enough to meet Sam in person she is such a genuine human being. One of the best ever.

Had the pleasure of seeing them around Halloween last fall in MA. Great show and the band hung out (in costume) to meet with any fans afterwards. Opened with a rousing version of American Dream. What an awesome night!

Just got a notice that 'someone' liked my comment but it doesn't say who? I remember a sound bite where Samantha talks about being driven thru Mississippi to see the land that brought the world the blues. I was born and raised in Helena, Ark. and used to go a few streets off main street to listen to Sonny boy Williamson and his group practice out in his front yard. He called me his little white Blues Boy and gave me my first Harmonica. He went downtown on main street where my mother worked to ask her permission to give it to me. That's how bad things were in the early 60's. I met many blues artists there. They are all gone now. The Blues was born and played there for a reason and I thank those from England and now those here that strive to carry it on. And for those that still listen to the Blues and those that play it. The first video Of Ms. Fish was of her a few years ago in the afternoon at the SonnyBoy Blues Fest in Helena and I have been a Fan ever since. Makes these old bones feel a little better, so I thank you all.
