It really shows how much character she has, that she talks about taking the mining job. She's not embarrassed about it; being drop dead gorgeous, she didn't make some comment about how she's above it. She could have probably easily became a model but she didn't and she wasn't trying to be fake about her history or hide that part of her life. Lots of respect to her and how she handles herself, we need more people like this.

definitely a testament to her character and her upbringing. The sad thing is that is probably what has stopped her from catapulting into stardom. It seems like the people who make it big in Hollyweird do it because they drop everything to completely succumb to the pressure of the industry. I mean you have to give up a lot to get a lot. It seems like people have to lose themselves to make it big in this world. And some people would rather keep who they are then be labeled something else.

The fact she has fallen to working in a factory from being signed to one of the biggest record companies in the world and then goes and auditions for xfactor says a lot about her character. Most people in her shoes would've been too embarrassed or think they're better than shows like this to ever subject themselves to tv live auditions. She is perfect. A beautiful voice, a gorgeous looking girl and it seems like she has a heart of gold too. What a champ and an inspiration. Rooting for you!

One thing you learn by watching all these singers audition and by watching the shows is that having the most beautiful voice in the world, being very beautiful on the inside and out is still not enough to sell records. You absolutely have to have "it" whatever that is and the full support of an awesome management team and the full support of your label.

I think it's complete crap that a record company hasn't signed her after her last one dropped her. I remember watching her song 'turn around' back in 2007 and instantly fell in love with it, and to this day that song is still on my iPod. Someone out there please sign her!! I remember when I saw this aired on tv and I was so excited because she wasn't hyped up like Bella, Shiane, Jason and What About tonight. It was really amazing to see her pull herself back in to music when she had clearly given up completely. I'm always reminded because of samantha that it doesn't matter how much your knocked down you get back up. Her music career totally failed I mean her biggest success as a singer over there was the movie soundtrack song step Up that charted like at number 92 for a week before falling off the charts completely than I feature she did on a David guetta song that never made it on to the album. Than she tried to release music in Australia but her single never charted. Not to mention the amount of backlash she had to deal with when she was on the X factor with alot of people saying she had her chance already and that she only made it to the live shows because of Guy and being it the bottom 2 three times. I'm happy that everyone got to see the real her and that she went on to win because she is an inspiration and an amazing singer.

Westall Secondary College is a co-educational setting with an enrolment of 420+ students. With an English Language Centre on site, which caters for the needs of newly arrived students and a Satellite VCAL program on a separate site, the College is catering for a diverse cultural and linguistic community. Over 75% of the total student population come from non-English speaking backgrounds and a significant number of students have experienced trauma in their lives, arriving to Australia as Refugees. Westall SC had a Student Family Occupation (SFO) density of 0.8465 in 2015 which reflects, on average, low socio-economicstatus. The SFO density remained relatively constant during the review period, indicating that the socio-economic status has remained stable during this time. The College is a participant in the Low SES School Communities National Partnerships' program and is committed to improving student outcomes by providing high quality teaching and targeted Professional Learning to staff. The College continued to use i-Pads to enhance student learning at Years 7 and 8 and Net books are provided to all students in years 9 to 12. A lot of work has been done to build partnerships within the local and broader community as witnessed by Westall Secondary College's strong links with Monash University and the Beacon Foundation. The College has a number of coaching staff to work with transforming pedagogy and building the capacity of teachers. Writing of learning sequences and mapping curriculum in a collaborative manner, has become the focus of professional learning for staff. The College has a well developed English as an Additional Language (EAL) program, catering for the number of newly arrived students, International students and students with disrupted schooling, that make-up the student population. English as an Additional Language (EAL) qualified teachers and EAL qualified support teachers work as a team to provide accelerated English learning. EAL classes have a maximum of 20 students to ensure quality and individual attention. The College EAL program is available at all year levels. In class literacy and numeracy intervention is provided for students who achieve below expectations and whose prior learning has been disrupted, but do not qualify for EAL support Westall SC has a strong improvement agenda, strong Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) outcomes and emerging higher levels of student learning growth in Year 7-10. Consistent and high expectations related to enhanced classroom practice, teamwork and peer professional learning have become central improvement strategies that have the potential to secure continued progress during the next strategic planning period. Despite being a relatively small school, Westall SC offers a comprehensive range of VCE subjects, together with very successful Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs. The school also operates a satellite VCAL program on a separate site. Study skill and special tutoring workshops are organised to secure student transition to university study. The school has a strong record of excellent VCE Maths results that it is justifiably proud of. A rich and stimulating program in the creative arts enhances the life of the whole college. Performing Arts include Instrumental Music and Singing. Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Communication and Media Studies are an important part of the college curriculum. All students are encouraged to extend themselves through enrichment, activities and work experience options.
