Gawd you’re so right. Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, and Beyoncé have NOTHING on Ireland’s premier R&B artists like Samantha Mumbles and…__?__…__?__…. ??? I know for me personally, I always attribute Ireland as being the birthplace of R&B. And I for one have always thought that dispassionate watered-down bad karaoke covers far surpass the OG versions by emotive yank artists with their unnecessary soul and stuff. Better to smooth all that out with compressors, feel nothing except the urge to chew bubblegum, and slap a pink crop top on it. I’ll give Ireland 10 pts. for producing Enya though. Enya is rad.🤙🏼
