Well , not the best show but the idea of the anime is actually fascinating, just the author didn't use it to the fullest , SAO had the same potential as AoT , what I mean by that is that AoT and SAO share the same world somehow where characters are surrounded by death at any moment, the author of SAO would have made a perfect anime if he didn't stop at the level of a showcase anime.
