Ebro in the Morning sit down with recent 2x Grammy winning Jazz singer Samara Joy. The 23-year old shares her experiences growing up, how her life has changed in recent weeks since winning the Grammys for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best New Artist, the people she met over the weekend and more.
She also discusses her decision to get into Jazz music, especially at such a young age, the experience she expects to portray at her performances, and some of her favorite music.

Great she recognized Jazzmeia Horn, who won the Thelonius Monk International Jazz Competition. Jazz performers are the greatest. Very few have inflated egos. Love Samara. I have listened to her daily over the last year.

Like SUNY Purchase school. A college I never heard of sounds like the place to be. I wish I knew about this school before. Lol Now everyone wants to enroll. SUNY Purchase can probably get just as much prestige or even more prestige than SUNY NYU, Columbia University, or even Harvard. This College sounds like the place to be.
