Wow, I am touched. I have served the Army for 34 years and was the first chief of my career. I was unfortunate that I never served under him. But I met him closely on 4 occasions, one of them being when he addressed us at the Higher Command, and the second when at DSSC, where I was fortunate to get my MSc degree from his hands. On both these occasions he took time to interact with us informally. He was jovial. I heard his story of the 1971 war - his historical conversation with Indira Gandhi. Each time the twinkle in his eyes and the wink was same when he said, "I have seen many angry women, including my wife, but she was the angriest woman I ever met." I always hero worshipped him. And when I see these scenes of DSSC and Fort Williams, I do get Goose Bumps. I used to always feel bad how the Govt treated him, particularly when no VIP attended his funeral. Thank God, atlast the nation has started to acknowledge his contribution to the nation. Thanks to Ronnie Screwvala, Megna Gulzar, Vicky and all those who made it happen My salute to them

Just because someone else makes something you dont understand doesn't mean you have to judge those who do. Sam Bahadur on its own is a fantastic film with fantastic work by Kaushal.
