Long ago my drum teacher, a devotee of the Buddy Rich school, told me I had perfect rhythm. These cats just about put me in a trance trying to hang out with these polys. Holy smoke!

I have to do a plug because Mohamed Bangoura (aka Bangourake, aka BK) is too humble. He runs retreats every January in Guinea. We went year before this and it was fantastic. You may not end up as good as these guys but your drumming and/or dance will definitely improve. Highly recommended .. Search for Mohata 2020.

@@lplein8429 Wrong Mohamed Bangoura you mean?... I went to Mohata in 2006 with BK & the Mohamed Bangoura on this video (Fode's brother & current soloist for Ballet Africans, was one of our teachers.)

The Djembés are much tooo loud for the solists and min 4:00 they are out ... its question of musicality not of power only. And the camera ist changing toooo often ...
@SambaLolo4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comments. I am not sure which part you are referring to with "soloists" (dundun?), "too loud", or "they are out". It is about West African traditional power surviving, not a western concept of musicality. Thank you for your support for these amazing groups and artists. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYSwZmB8YrSMkLs
