Hi Sam! Really enjoyed the video and I have questions that maybe you could answer. The backing track rhythm tone is fantastic sounding! What chords are you playing and how are you making it sound heavy in standard tuning? Also, can you do a short video on what you were doing at this part @19:18? That sounded very cool 👍 thanks for your time ✌🏻
@SamBellGuitarАй бұрын
Thanks! The chords are the same as I outlined in the lesson, CMaj9 to Am (functioning as the 4 and 2 chord of G Major) The key to making it heavy in standard is getting a cool bass tone, (I'm using EZ Bass) and double tracking rhythm parts, hard panning, using 5th rooted power chords under the mix to give some size. I'll have to watch it back to see what I'm doing at that time stamp, maybe I'll do a YT short Lick and upload when I find a moment!

Lydian is the fourth mode of a major scale, not the fifth as you stated.

@jankafka7330 you're correct, I was speaking quickly, didn't even realise I said that. Well observed!

@BeauregardHall it's also why it's important to question and research to develop trust in our own understandings of subjects. But yes, I mistakenly said something here, it's harmless. The blog should have the correct info.
