10:10 Flame Skewer and Flame Spear AoWs seemed to be both really made for Queelign's sword. Not quite as locked in as Wing Stance is for Milady, though.

The dryleaf arts is one of the items I was most disappointed in missing out on. I got the Danes footwork and I have heard that it can be better. But just missing out on weapons, armor, spells and incantations just isn’t fun at all. And if this DLC wasn’t so goddamn far into the game I’d go through it again to get the stuff but man that is a ton of work.

Ive beaten the major bosses of the DLC and I still struggle with that Fallingstar Beast with inflated DLC stats. Their agression and moveset always had me struggling in the main game as well.

Weird how everyone struggles with different stuff, I recall finding that beast almost disappointingly easy. And that was after switching to a melee build after playing the whole game as a mage so the play style was new and exploratory. Meanwhile I struggled with Messmer BAD, without much doubt probably died more to him than Malenia despite all my scadu buffs. I did find the fallingstar beasts hard af in the main game but it was like they didn’t scale it up enough for my DLC power level, maybe you just encountered him way earlier than me

At the cost of the worst scaling especially when you could just swap out catalyst’s with the best scaling in .5 seconds. Really disappointing to me, dual intelligence and faith builds are already rare because it’s just not that powerful or necessary especially relative stat investment. They totally could’ve given the staff full power scaling and it wouldn’t have been broken, it’s a convenience weapon.

the fire knights in the shadowkeep can be trivialized with a shield, and if your that against shields the incantation dragonbolt blessing will make their combo attacks basically never happen because it gives you the hardness +2 so their attacks will just bounce off causing them to stagger a bit

You can also throw pots into the golem you have to activate in the furnace graveyard area, there’s a place you can jump up to in the ruins along the walls. He’s not armored but it’s a bit faster

If I learned anything from this DLC it’s that… …Marika is an absolute B! Also if you want to counter the hp drain from the blood sucking tear, put the regen tear as the 2nd choice, use the hp regen talisman and the blessing Boon incantation. You can also put on the Royal set (Ensha’s gear) these will counter the hp drain

The ruins behind the dormant fire giant can actually be access if you just go at the back and I guess parkour your way inside if your online you should see some messages and in front of it is a tiny gap you can go in but its high up so you need to use torrent
