I sent my food back twice and I was way younger then(13-15). Nothing confrontational but more of a little discussion. I asked if i can talk to a manager, and I nearly whispered my concern. They treated me nicely. I think as long as you're polite, and not overly "my rights" kind of dude, it's alright to talk about your concern to whoever responsible.

I think I was 13-15 years old so I wasn't a child totally. I also didn't call the manager to our table, I went to the counter and spoke my concerns there. They actually added more on my dish when I get my food back (which was amazing ngl😂).
