A good way I found to trick and treat after adult was making a costume that had synergy with the kid's costumes. Like 3 kids doing powerpuff girls costumes and me as the professor. I didn't ask for the candy but I had my cut. If anyone asked I said I was looking after the kids (which I was technically doing). Honestly it's fun. What does scripture say the Christ follower has the power to do? Most don’t know, let alone do it count but if you do it it’s an incredible life to live even if it’s more normal to see a 40-year-old sucking their thumb than a 20-year-old praying for someone who’s blind to see you again and watching them see! Grown-ups can have a lot of fun and literally be a powerful change for the world to God’s good if we follow his plan in maturity and leave selfish and immature excuses and childish religious teachings that reject scripture behind. The problem is so many people don’t want to grow up, they don’t wanna level up, and even if they do they are so void of truth and filled with childish lies that they don’t even know where to learn how. Honestly, turn off the cell phone, spend an hour a day in Scripture, followed by an hour a day walking through nature and talking to God asking him questions and understanding what Jesus meant when he said, “my sheep hear my voice.” Each time you obey, it’s so good, I can’t even explain it, obedience doesn’t seem easy, but the reality is to disobey causes so much harm to self or others. We are supposed to be like a child in our faith and willingness to level up by humbly admitting your not done yet it what you need to know. But there are some adults that truly have some very unhealthy self indulgence issues that they truly do need to go to God about, they literally need deliverance (Derek prince is an old teacher but he has a great teaching on curses that caused delay and curses are real and in the Bible, nothing that goes on in the Bible has ended, it’s the living Word. There are people with unhealthy addictions to even their stuffed animals, that’s spiritual, I even saw with someone it became not only an idol, but their spirit spouse that kept them from a real spouse. I know everyone doesn’t get to experience what I get to experience, but it’s normal to see miracles every day, it’s normal to have to a conversation with God, it’s normal to have God helping you so much that he truly is “friend if you obey.” Maybe the reason some don’t want to grow up is because they don’t know they still have a Father who is better than their earthly Father. God is so good, 1000 can be struggling to the left of you, 1000 can be struggling to the right of you, but you’re just at peace with the Lord walking in confidence down the good path he promised you as you see more of God then the Israelites leaving Egypt got to because God is just that cool and worth maturing for. I get that it sounds like I’m talking nonsense to nonbelievers but if you’re a believer, it’s time to get serious about your relationship with the Lord. When people come to you with their issues you should have solutions for them because God tells you the solutions. This world needs more Christian’s to mature in their faith, but never lose their childlike wonder that “God can.” He truly can!
