Options Trading with Moving Averages | How to Use Moving Averages to Trade Options

In this episode, NS Fidai shares his insights on how to use moving averages to trade options.
NS Fidai explains his system of trading options on the long side. He uses a 15-minute intraday chart to pick trading opportunities in Nifty options.
He recommends to go long in at the money (ATM) Nifty calls when 9 exponential moving average (EMA) crosses above 18 EMA and both 9 and 18 EMA are trading above 200 EMA.
One can go short in at the money (ATM) Nifty puts when 9 exponential moving average (EMA) crosses below 18 EMA and both 9 and 18 EMA are trading below 200 EMA.
He shows us several examples on Nifty’s intraday chart where these rules have helped identify solid trading opportunities.
He recommends a few don’ts to the viewers. First is not to buy options on Friday. Second avoid options which are about to expire in a day. Third, focus on Nifty options rather Bank Nifty options. Bank Nifty is more volatile in nature and not suitable for retail investors.

summary of this video How to locate trading opportunities using averages? using ema cross. NIFTY 15 MIN Chart EMA CROSS TO BE USED.EMA 9 and 18 to be used. we use ema 200. red is ema9 ema18 is green. after positive cross(ema9 cross above ema18), we go long on next candle. ema200 is important. when to go long or short is decided by ema200. if ema9,ema18 both above ema200 we take long trade. if ema9 and ema18 both are below ema200, we go short.buy atm call option or atm put option weekly exiry based on trend. use next week options or monthly options to get enough time. 1 back test 2 paper trade 3 create journal 4 it can be used in algo Remember keep going on sell signal if both ema are below 200ema. Atm options have 0.4 delta one rule for discipline if both ema are above ema200, take only long trades or buy only trades and avoid shrt trades. if both ema are below ema200,go only for short trades and avoid long trades.
