Hey Sam! I just wanted to point out something. You said in the video that the aura int from Ares's passive is useful for mages or anyone who deals magical dmg. If you say it that way it might be confusing for people (like newbies) who haven't understood yet that int is not the same as magical power from Smite 1. Int is useful for characters like Nemesis, Medusa, Neith etc. too and they're all physical gods. Just wanted to point that out ^^

Attack speed Ares could actually be quite interesting with the buff from his 2 and the changes made to how you'll be throwing chains out. Since you can chain while casting the flamethrower, you'll be AA-canceling less and have more downtime between long channels to be swinging away. Gets even better if Ares himself can benefit from the extended duration from hitting an enemy god 3 times while the buff is active.

Hi Sam! If I remember correctly, ares aura in smite 1 already gave the auto attack damage boost. (If I’m right) they just removed the HPS (for some reason that I wouldn’t understand tbh? The HPS was NOT particularly good or bad)

Also, Ares' ult now counts as a displacement, meaning that abilities like goobis 1 or bacchus 3 that give displacement immunity will make you immune to the pull part of the ult.

@hurrricane he has mixed scaling along with basic attack boost on his 2 (which is way underrated). His 1 initial hit and ult have strength scaling, while his 1 tic damage and his 3 have int scaling. His 3 also has built in %hp shred. I'd go for a mix built with basic attack procs on him, and save his 3 for chasedown / buff clear. He has good aa cancels with his 1 and 2 I believe. Also his ult has damage on the drop regardless of pull, so you can use that against minions if needed.

My thoughts on the video: SPOILERS ||Ares is not an int god, he's a mix scaling god that needs to be built as such. His 2 is heavily underrated, and his 3 is overrated. His 1 has strength scaling on the initial hit, then int on the following ticks, meaning it has better wave clear if you build strength. Ares also gets a basic attack boost on his 2, so adding strength and attack speed helps with his damage output. His 3 already gets base damage, and %health shred on minions that doesn't scale, so you don't have to focus it as much. Sam kinda played him like a caster, when he should play him more as a warrior. His best fight was when he was just as aggressive as the herc about 1/2 way through the video. Finally because of the % health shred on the 3, jungle clear on Ares isn't actually that bad, so def need another starter, cause wave clear is always his Achilles heel, and you have to comp for that (his 3 sucks for wave clear, easy to interrupt)||

Winged blade is arguably better. You speed up yourself and the entire team. Also making you and them immune to slows. This version is more balanced
