It has to be admitted that it is very similar to “Yesterday”. In particular, the change where Paul sings, “why she had to go I don’t know, she wouldn’t say…” is very closely replicated here. As at 0:34

Sometime I think the songs that you might think are too simple turn out to be the best. Let It Be and Hey Jude are 2 others like that that come to mind. Also, I've heard Louis say that he likes to write songs that sound like you've heard them before. I don't think that's about ripping anyone off, I think that's about tapping into a magical sense of melody and harmony that kind of feels right instinctively.

Such a beautiful tender surprise. I really like the choice of venue, it must've contributed to the atmosphere... somewhere in the suburbs. I wonder where the approximate location was, and if it was cold out? Given their choice of clothes. Such a cute moment at the end, not just the high-five 🙏 but the smile Louis does in picking up his keyboard and Genevieve's hop! “If people actually followed [their tastes more], music would be a lot better than it is. It’s purely what I’m excited about and what I’m excited to hear. That’s the main motivation behind it all. On top of that. It’s fun to have different sounds and different things to try. I would love to try this thing that maybe doesn’t exist.” -Louis Cole

@MusicSoundPlayer because it was funny. When I said complicated I'm talking time signatures, horn arrangements, the literal Orchestra they have in many videos, the licks played by each individual musician, and the pianists that come in to play are phenomenal. To write and arrange all of that, from the perspective of a musician, it's some very complicated music.
