Oh geez, Sully Man! Give your Mama a freak’n break from the injuries. I am sorry that life has been tough, sweets. Praying it gets better for you. ❤ I am so glad that he is not being reactive, that I am sure is a big relief.

Heeler adolescence..........our last week has been a bomb. Love to you and your pack

Poor Sully. Hope he feels better soon. We had a white Staffy who was always at the vets getting sun cancers removed. We live in sunny Queensland and white dogs with pink tummies are vulnerable. She made it to 14 but lost her to her lungs failing. Some dogs unfortunately are just proned to “stuff”. All the best with your boy.

Awww poor girl. But 14!!! That is amazing. ❤

I love that! Aging with Heelers support group lol Are they going to have to do surgery?
@bethcunningham4346Ай бұрын
Oh no! Poor Sully! I hope he recovers from funny butt soon! He was so good with the husky at the end of the video. 😊.
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
He's doing so well with Chief. We have seen him a few more times and he just sits and waits for cookies but he still watches just in case lol I really need to start trusting him more I think he's ready for better sniffs with other dogs. Currently as his butt is healing he is again trying to scratch it. (sigh) lol

Oh my gosh, that's quite the wound he made, poor Sully! It should get better as he gets older and a bit wiser. Our male, Auzi, was crazy the first few years of his life, then he mellowed out a lot. I really think the males just have that extra bit of mad energy and recklessness, as good and amazing as they are and want to be. 💙
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
After having a mix of both sexes, yes, I agree the males just have that bit of extra lol. He has a wound like in the video also right under his tail that size and another one a bit lower. That is the only one they shaved because it was the most infected. Even if he never calms it down I'm okay with that, I just wish he would stop thinking if I pull my skin off I will make it better lol

Poor Sully and poor Mama! I think Dogs are sometimes like kids...sometimes you get one that is more accident prone than others. Take my sisters grandson, that at the age of 2 broke his leg...took a dive off of his sisters bunk bed...Sounds like at least he is doing better with his reactivity...always good news. Saw the video before this where someone asked about humping. Years ago when we had a female Lab and a male Rough Collie, our Lab for some reason decided it would be a good idea to hump my younger sons leg. Well the Collie did not like that, went over, broke the hold, and chased the Lab away. Well I thought like the next day it would be like nothing happened. Well the next day came...Lab trots over to visit with son, Collie chases her away. It was one week before our Collie would let the Lab back near our son. I couldn't believe that the Collie was that ticked off at the Lab for that long. He sent a message though...Lab never did that again.

Exactly like kids!! lol It's so funny how dogs can behave similar to us. Clea and Sully finally got over whatever piff they were having but that was, I think two weeks before they let it go. I still don't know what it was over. It's amazing what they teach each other as well. Freakin love dogs.
@PoeLemicАй бұрын
Sorry Mr. Man gets into so much. I feel for you, if you've got Vet bills for each of these things. Hopefully, you are on some plan that makes it cheaper for visits. And, I love the Donut on Sully, and our blue heeler had to wear one for a while (after cancer treatment) some years back. Anyway, glad that things are going stable enough that you seem like you've got it all under control.
@SarahBoyer-qp3veАй бұрын
Can you do a video on their care? Like their feeding routines, exercise, etc. my poor pup is overweight and we’re looking for new ideas to try. (Not frisbee, the vet said we should avoid frisbee while he is fat, he is 74 pounds)
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
Yes I will do a quick vid on that this week for you. I had a overweight heeler and we had to switch food to get the weight off and yes I agree with the vet no frisbee. He could tear something. I would do walks and slowly increase the distance. But calorie intake in a thing too. I will try to have it out by Wednesday for you.
@brianchudzik7829Ай бұрын
You are in a tough run, hope it gets better. I am not sure how mine remains so resilient? As much running that she does off leash in the woods, one would think there would be more.
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
I'm scared to take this boy back to the woods lol

I was so sad to see a donut on Sully again! It makes you want to wrap him in bubble rap, but he would just pop all of them. I think you were supposed to own huskies.

Sully, Sully, Sully.........he is a mess!! Lol but ya gotta love him!! Ryah just hosed me for 380.00, teeth cleaning, blood work to make sure she is ok for anesthesia and she was shaking her head like she had buggas in her ears and she wont let me look, doc said no bugs but her neck had 3 verdabreas (positive i didnt spell that right) out of wack so he fixed that.......i need a 3rd job......but her teeth are beautiful!!
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
I would give anything for that bill for a dental cleaning!!! Our quote for Clea was 600 ish minimum. lol Glad her teeth are beautiful now and glad her neck was fixed. I'm really starting to think about getting an insurance plan just for the boy lol

@michaelbrady181 yeah it's a bit pricey. I hit 270 just for his itchy butt lol most of that was the medication

Mr Sully.....what's the deal neil? Are you making life a challendge for yourself & fam? Go in peace Mr Man. The girls are so beautiful. Loved her placing a reminder paw on his head now settle down it's ok to change speeds from zero to 90 to zero to 20.... Look Sully is NOT reactive like he used to be. Was waiting for Cheif to lift his leg, mark his yard. Take care HM, all is resovling.

I have to ask. Are Sully's bm's firm? I just went thru something similar with my 2 Heelers. Soft stools don't express the anal glands properly. I think maybe inpacked??? ...anyway, both eating their backside raw. I got pumpkin & probiotics into them and they stopped chewing their asses. It took a couple of days for the chewed wounds to heal, but they stopped. We ♡ our Heelers. ❤ 🐾
@TheHeelerMamaАй бұрын
@wendiwander1 A little looser than normal, but they even expressed him to check, and only one was somewhat full. That's why the vet couldn't figure it out. No anal issues or flea evidence. I'm still thinking a flea bite or some kind of bite, and the boy just went to town making it worse. Thankfully, it's healing now, but he is still trying to scratch. I've added pumpkin, too, but the one medication is causing some runs. He had an allergic reaction to something in the woods once too so it could be anything with this boy lol
